Shamanism is thought of as the Original Religion. But in reality, it's not a religion at all. It's a way of life and a method of living.

Shamans are intermediaries between the human and spirit worlds and have been around since the beginning of humanity. Thought of as the oldest recorded religion, Shamanism is based on seeing God in all the natural elements of our world. A tree is God. An animal is God. The Wind is God. The Shaman works and communicates with the natural elements through Animal Spirit Guides and Great Spirit Guides to bring harmony into their community.

The ones who live intentionally, compassionately and intuitively are the Shamans of the world. Enriching and Awakening the lives of others while growing their relationship to the Great Spirit is their mission. According to believers, they can treat illness and are capable of entering supernatural realms to obtain answers to the problems of their community. No one culture owns Shamanism; it belongs to and grows from your own personal calling to live authentically.

What is Shamanism?

Scenes from Modern Shamans

Today Shamans are engaged in activities that bring harmony into the local community and the Global awareness.

Many hold regular, normal jobs but their work is infused with Intention, Intuition, Compassion and Action that precipitates a positive change with everyone they meet.

Yet, they continue to build their own relationship to Great Spirit and the Natural World around them.  "As Above/So Below" is the awareness of the ONENESS we all live. As I heal and balance myself, healing and balance comes to my neighbor and the world.

Awakened to the world, these Shamans communicate with the sound of the Drum, the breath of the horse and even the crust of a flan. Everyday Shamanism is what will effect our world and that is the mission of the Shaman. To truly BE the change. To BE the "tuning fork" of Balance and Peace.

Living in the Sacredness of life, all things, Great and Small, are Sacred. All things are meaningful. All things have purpose. Nothing is wasted.

Shamans work sometimes in the spotlight and sometimes behind the scenes to affect the world around them.

Shamans are the mediators between the conscious and unconscious worlds. They "bring to Light that which is hidden."

Whether "clearing energy" from a house or land or animal or doing a Soul Retrieval with someones who's life is missing something or bringing a message from Great Spirit to help someone find direction in life - the Path of the Shaman is the Path of Awakened Living.
